Drei Ratschläge an Dein 14jähriges Ich!
Get over those frosty tips quicker than usual; I used to have a bad haircut. You know, I guess just keep doing what I was doing. I mean when I was 16 is more when I realized my dreams, I can be in the NHL, it was more of a goal, it was more of, I knew I had the skills and the talent, it was just about putting things together to make it, it was so farfetched, of making it to NHL, I was there I had the skill I just had to work harder. I guess I just told myself keep doing that.
Was steht auf Deiner Visitenkarte?
On my business card, I will write Tyler Seguin and professional hockey player.
Was ist das coolste an Deinem Job?
I guess the coolest thing about my job is just being able to have, it would be called a job, I never really do but just being able to do something professionally that you love so much. I mean this is my, I know it is my job and my career but it’s been my dream since I was a little kid, since I started watching hockey on TV. I think that makes it the best.
Welche Einschränkungen bringt Dein Job mit sich?
I guess maybe being on the spot light a lot. You know, a lot of times you can make difficult decisions and sacrifices because of your job and being a professional athlete. It’s all about picking your spots, but especially hockey guys, a lot of people recognize you or what not, you have got to be careful of what you do.
Worum geht es in Deinem Job?
My job is being a professional hockey player, I play in NHL on a day to day basis it is usually waking up going for practice working out at the ring, watching some videos and you know, having the rest of my day to relax and make sure my body is properly hydrated and probably eating proper food to my body and in the essence about being a pro. The job title comes with the cold ice play, how you conduct yourself off the ice, the publicity, the advertising. I mean that’s all part of the job, whether it’s, you know, you interacting with of the fans or just being respectful in terms of being a professional athlete and especially a professional hockey player.
Wie sieht Dein Werdegang aus?
My background is, I’m from Brampton, Ontario which is pretty close to Toronto or from ... city, I grew up playing hockey and the cross, I love both sports pretty equally growing up and chose to go the hockey route and you can never look back, and I have been playing hockey probably since I was about 5 years old.
Ginge es auch ohne Deinem Werdegang?
No. I think when you need to have the work ethic; I think you need to have the passion of why you need to be the best and wanting to make it in the NHL. You know it’s pretty hard to go far in the NHL or even get close to it if you are not a good team player or generally good athlete. I think skill is going to help you get there. The hardest working players will always make it and I do believe that it doesn’t matter you were born, or where you play hockey growing up, I think if you are good enough, then you work hard enough you have shot. So whether you were born in Brampton, Ontario or born in Vienna Austria, I think you have yourself a chance to get in the NHL. It’s just about how much skill you have and how much work ethic you have.
