Drei Ratschläge an Dein 14jähriges Ich!
So one thing it is to be patient, so take time think things through, make a plan and then act so this would be one. The second is maybe also on the same note to take risks on the other side to speak up and not to internalize all your thoughts so speak up even if you might be wrong it is better to confront people with your ideas and your way of thinking believe in yourself and do not lie to yourself.
Was steht auf Deiner Visitenkarte?
My business card says Vlad Gozman founder and curator or TEDx Vienna.
Was ist das coolste an Deinem Job?
I have this chance to be always confronted with young people who get in the working area and they have new ways of thinking. So I am being confronted always and being up to par with them on the other side I get to bring people Vienna to and offer them a stage, people that I read about or people that I follow online and they might be super stars in their own right or superstars in science or technology or even superstars in entertainment and I get to write them and tell them come talk to us as an audience.
Welche Einschränkungen bringt Dein Job mit sich?
Well, there are several limitations of course the fact that myself am doing it on the side it takes a lot of my free time but I don’t see it as a job in that sense I see it more as a hobby or a free time activity that’s enriching and it’s not only like playing a sport. It’s like playing a sport but it’s more of a mentally enriching sport.
Worum geht es in Deinem Job?
At TEDx I try to bring people with different ideas together with a open minded audience here in Vienna, bring people from all over the world and make them connect share and expand on innovative world changing ideas. So at TEDx we are organized as an MPO, me being the head founder and curator I am organizing the team so looking how to set up a hierarchy, how to coordinate each team leader into working with their own teams, basically what I do is I meet up with team leaders once a week and we go through the issues and priorities and set deadlines and goals this is like from an operational point of view. On the other side I curate the speakers for our conferences. So when we go out for topics we choose the topics for a month we chose the topic for a conference this is all in my area of expertise and what I do. Once we have a topic we gather ideas from all of the team around speakers for our conferences and then I prioritize the speakers so I choose in the end who gets to speak on stage and make sure that we have a broad enough pools of fields and of speakers from all over the place.
Wie sieht Dein Werdegang aus?
I am a Romanian citizen, I have been born in Romania in Arad and I have been living there till my 18th year and then I moved to Bucharest where I studied. I have a background in economics I did four years at the Academy Of Economics in Bucharest and after graduating I founded a company, ran it for three years and then I left Romania for Austria and came to Vienna so since 2010 I am in Vienna I founded TEDx took the license from Ted Talks in the US brought it to Vienna and afterwards I worked in several projects and right now since two years I founded another company here.
Ginge es auch ohne Deinem Werdegang?
Definitely but they would do it differently of course, the cool thing is I am part of great international TEDx community of organizers where there are more than 7,000 TEDx events yearly worldwide and what we all have in common is this passion for ideas but I met all of them from all nationalities all different backgrounds and they all do the same thing that I do and the fact is that they do it slightly different so my emphasis on TEdx Vienna is on science and on technology innovation but others would put more pressure and underline topics like arts or social responsibility. Well you would basically need to be a people’s person so have open mindedness towards new ideas towards new ways of thinking and be able to mingle with people from all different cultures and all different backgrounds.
