As a PCB Layout Designer (m/f/d) at Emerson, you will join our highly motivated engineering team in developing and supporting high quality products according to exacting engineering standards for demanding customers. You will be actively involved in complex, high-speed interface and high data rate PCB layout designs of leading-edge embedded computer platforms based on x86 with DDR4 respectively DDR5 memory interfaces and other modern processor architectures based on ARM. Based in Augsburg, Bavaria, you will work with local and international design teams to plan schedules and resolve costs. Dein Profil

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar (Bachelor of Science/FH Degree, Master/University Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing PCB layout design
  • Experience in component library maintenance
  • Understanding of the driving PCB technology and process trends
  • ‘Can-do' attitude with experience of working on own initiative within a changing environment.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art development and simulation tools.
  • Goal-oriented, responsible way of working and proactive communication style in project work.
  • Fluency in English, German knowledge would be desirable.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Development and implementation of the PCB layout design of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Close co-operation with other engineering teams on-site and globally during board development
  • Active participation in designing reviews, investigating, evaluating and implementing new PCB technologies and processes
  • Technical coordination within Engineering, Test and Manufacturing
  • Maintenance of tool chain and support of internal engineering
  • Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors
  • Proactive participation in the evolution and definition of Design For Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines manufacturing, and electrical design issues
