Die Voraussetzungen: “Es ist auf jeden Fall notwendig, eine mathematische Ausbildung zu haben.”

Dominique Godin

“It keeps changing. I have never done the same thing for more than a year or two”, says Dominique Godin about her job as an Actuary at Allianz SE. The piece of advice she would give her 14-year-old self is: “Don’t be afraid of changes. If you make big changes, if you move to other countries, if you take different jobs and different opportunities, the worst thing that could happen is that you don’t like it. And if you don’t like it you can always go back.”

Joanne Joseph

“The more I learn about Allianz and the way in which the market works, the more it makes me realize that I am in the right profession”, Joanne Joseph explains the reasons she likes her work as an Actuary at Allianz SE. An advice she would give younger people to find their way: “You should always be confident about what you think and what you believe.”

Günther Wall

Seinen jetzigen Arbeitgeber lernte er bereits während der Studienzeit näher kennen. “Nach dem Praktikum habe ich auch meine Diplomarbeit in Kooperation mit der Allianz geschrieben.”

Faisal Haddad

“Have more fun, spend more time with your family and take it easy”, are the three succinct advice, Faisal Haddad, Actuary at Allianz SE Reinsurance, would give to his 14-year-old self. Asked about the limitations of his job, he says: “We don’t have a lot of software running for us so a lot of work has to be done manually. So there’s quite a bit administrative work in my job.”

Sanaz Ahmadi

Das Coolste an meinem Job ist, dass die Arbeit vielseitig ist und es immer neue herausfordernde Aufgaben gibt, erzählt Sanaz Ahmadi, Versicherungsmathematikerin bei der VAV Versicherungs-Aktiengesellschaft. „Ich bin Mathematikerin und bin für versicherungsmathematische Umsetzung der gesetzlichen Anforderungen zuständig. Ich bereite die Stammdaten für weitere mathematische Modellierungen vor."

Paul Van Ammelrooij

“I think it’s very important to sometimes take the path less travelled.” With this piece of advice Paul Van Ammelrooij wants to encourage younger people to go their own way. What it needs to become an Actuary at Allianz SE? “Most of the people study maths and then take the actuary exams, but nowadays more and more other skills are also important, for instance communication skills.”
